Yeah, so, David and I went into this game shop in Oakland on Saturday night where I saw these …

Star Wars Babies?
But I think this one is my favorite …

Tiny Admiral Ackbar
I actually thought about buying it, but then I realized that it would just be more crap for me to move in two weeks.
We were in Oakland for Katherine’s birthday party. (Happy birthday, Katherine!) Her and her man Roger have a super cute apartment in Oakland and a super cute dog named Escher, who appears to be a corgi-pitbull mix. They are not really sure what Escher is exactly, but that’s their best guess.
Saturday morning I went to what I’m sure is my last bikram yoga class. My unlimited yoga for 30 days for $30 is up, and after two classes a week for a month, I’ve decided that bikram is just not for me. I miss my old super happy fun time vinyasa yoga. It helps me get centered and feel strong. The entire time I’m doing bikram yoga I’m thinking, “Oh God! Please don’t pass out! Please don’t pass out!” It’s just not fun. There are a couple of vinyasa yoga studios in the area that I’m going to hit before we make the big move to Dog Hill (that’s what I’m calling our neighborhood, seeing as we are on the Dogpatch-Potrero Hill border).
I’ve been doing a lot of writing lately, getting ahead on my freelance. David spent today packing his board games. He might actually finish packing tonight. Well, the games, I mean. Whew. That’s a lot of games. While he is packing he keeps saying, “I’m such a nerd. Look at this mountain of nerdness.” I think, however, that he is adorable. He is my favorite person. I am grateful on a daily basis that this mighty mighty good man is in my life. I don’t love David despite of his nerdiness, I love him because of his nerdiness.
So anyway, we were hoping to see “Up” this weekend, but it just didn’t happen. We are definitely going to see it this week, though. We are meeting with our new landlords on Tuesday night to see the apartment (yay!) and sign the lease. I can’t wait to see the apartment and start planning in my mind where things are going to go. I can’t wait until the move is done, and we can start unpacking.
