Yeah, so, I have mixed feelings about 2009.
In some ways, it’s been an awesome year. I got a new job that I really like. My brother got married. Some great buddies of mine got engaged. David and I moved in together. We love this apartment, and we love Dogpatch. We have been having an amazing [...]

I think we had a little too much fun …
Yeah, so, I think we all had a little too much fun at Erika’s birthday bash on Saturday night.
Pictures don’t lie. Also, I was horribly hung over the next morning.

Thanks for everything
Yeah, so, I’ve got a lot to be thankful for this year.
Sure, I got cancer, but I also moved in with my mighty, mighty good man and got engaged.

Stage fright
Yeah, so, on Friday night mighty, mighty good man and I made our stage debut at Muni Diaries‘ Live! Under the Influence at the Make-Out Room in San Francisco.
The fine folks at Muni Diaries asked if David and I would read a blog post we submitted earlier this year about a woman who turned the [...]

Laughing in cancer’s face
Yeah, so, I laughed a lot during my fight with breast cancer. A lot.
I have always been the type of person who thinks nothing is above a joke. Everything is fair game. I usually try to find the humor in any situation. Also, I am very prone to inappropriate laughter. I think I inherited some [...]

It started off on Thursday night with the best damn dinner ever at Waterbar with the best damn man ever. The restaurant has an amazing view of the Bay Bridge. I know everyone loves the Golden Gate Bridge, but I’ve got hella love for the Bay Bridge. [...]

RIP: Dr. Arthur Garry
Yeah, so, the same day I went into surgery for my lumpectomy, Dr. Arthur Garry died.
Dr. Arthur Garry was a great man. He worked as a surgeon in a M*A*S*H unit in the Vietnam war and served as the Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
But to [...]

Recovery Island
Yeah, so, I have turned our couch into Recovery Island, surrounded by vicodin, water, books, the laptop and various remote controls.
I received some lovely flowers from Corso, Kathy and Jeffrey. They are super awesome! I love any kind of orange flower, and I adore daisies, so it was a perfect bouquet for me. I am [...]

A funny thing happened on the way to the operating room
Yeah, so, I am home.
The surgery was delayed for several hours, but it finally happened around 2:30 p.m. It took about 90 minutes, then I spent an hour in recovery then they moved me where I could see David, Michelle and my mom and dad. It wasn’t long after that the nurses told me I [...]
