Yeah, so, it’s been a couple of busy days. I’ve actually been busy at work, too. Imagine that.
Friday night, I went over to Tiff and Dan’s for some dinner. I didn’t bring the Snicker salad. I made a regular ol’ green salad with feta cheese and black olives. Boring, right?
Tiff made this really tasty dish with artichoke hearts. I tried to copying it for myself last night from memory. Turned out I missing some ingredients, but mine still turned out pretty good. Artichoke hearts, little olive oil, Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese baked for 25 minutes or so at 450. Big pot of brown rice and I’ve got enough for lunches for the week. Clever girl …
Saturday, I met up with Kate, Alison and Holly for dinner at Out of Door. So good! Then we checked out “Dark Knight.” Great movie. Heath Ledger was amazing in it and I’m not just saying that because he’s dead. It’s hard to believe that’s the same guy who was in “Brokeback Mountain” or, hell, “10 Things I Hate About You.” He was really creepy as the Joker. Of course, I think the movie was about 20 minutes too long. Also, I don’t think the movie needed two villains. I think just the Joker would have been fine.
Sunday, I hiked a mile on Mt. Tam to check out Sommerfest at the German Tourist Club. I had some good beer and a delicious bockwurst and checked out some polka dancing.
So, it looks like things are in motion for the eviction of Crazy Larry. All the tenants received letters from a lawyer. Also, Crazy Larry has been posting his manifestos on the door for all to read, threatening to sue just about everyone in the building … except for me. Whew! I’m already being sued, thank you very much.
I would be relieved if he left. He’s been moving furniture in the hallway all hours of the night, waking me and Homer up. Grrrrrrr. I’m so tired.
