The Sonia Show

Writer. Podcaster. Beer drinker. Old movie watcher. Mother. Goober.

I still live here: SF

Yeah, so, the story I wrote for I Live Here: SF got a nice mention on KQED Arts site.

I am very flattered, and I am very honored that Julie asked me to participate in her amazing project. If you haven’t visited I Live Here: SF, do it now! I consider that story one of the best things I have ever written; even better than that column I wrote making fun of the pope that got me death threats …

Author: The Sonia Show

I'm a writer/podcaster/mother/goober in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, go on adventures with my mighty, mighty good man David and my awesome autistic son, Calvin, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.

  1. My mom, grandma and both aunts (in that order) have all survived breast cancer so it hits home for me (and we all have a sense of humor about it too!) 🙂

  2. Yes, you still live here and I hope you always do! I still read your story from time to time. It’s truly a magnificent piece of writing and I know it’s touched many people. xo

  3. You are too kind, my friend.

Leave a comment, you guys. It's fun!
