Honeymoon at Crissy Fields

Yeah, so, David and I can’t go on our honeymoon right away. I’m in vacation debt at work. I used all my vacation time and then some recovering from the various breast cancer surgeries. We are going to honeymoon in the fall.

In the meantime, David and I took an extra day off before going back to work. I was supposed to go back today but it’s hard to go back into the office when your new husband says he would like to spend a day with his new wife.

So, since we couldn’t go on a proper honeymoon, David and I decided to honeymoon at Crissy Fields. We brought a little picnic lunch and a blanket … and Homer.

I'm a writer/mocker/goober/mother in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, podcast, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.

  1. You guys are awesome. And about the honeymoon… You really couldn’t be escaping to a more beautiful and perfect city than San Francisco, especially on a day like today. Congratulations, honeymooners.

  2. Ha! David looks like an 8-yr old with a new puppy. 🙂

    Congrats you two!

  3. this just went in my dictionary, illustrating “idyllic.”

  4. Thanks, you guys! We had a nice, one-day honeymoon.

Leave a comment, you guys. It's fun!
