Don’t cry out loud

Yeah, so, on Saturday night David and I had a dinner-and-a-movie double date.

We went to Dosa for dinner with good buddies Tiff and Dan, followed by “Toy Story 3-D” at the Sundance Kabuki. We opted for the 21-and-over showing at 9:45 p.m. so we wouldn’t have to listen to screaming kids, and – more importantly – we could drink booze.

I felt like such a grown-up, having a tasty dinner with my fabulous husband and another fabulous couple followed by drinks in the movie theater. Of course, this grown-up feeling wasn’t meant to last. I cried like a little girl throughout the movie.

Oh, Pixar. You always make me cry like I’ve been kicked in the balls.

By the way … if you are seeing a giant picture of Scotch tape below, this is a stupid fuckin’ Google ad that I can’t get rid of. I’m not randomly running a picture of Scotch tape on my blog. Discreet Ad Placement Fail, Google!

I'm a writer/mocker/goober/mother in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, podcast, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.
