The Sonia Show is going to Ann Arbor

Yeah, so, I’m flying to Ann Arbor tomorrow for good buddies Katie and Nathan’s wedding. Yes, it’s OK to be jealous.

I have never been to the Midwest. Hell, I really haven’t been anywhere. Hawaii, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Disneyland … that’s about it. Oh, and I’ve been to Oakley, which practically another country in that there was a language barrier. It was difficult to learn their customs, but I managed. [If you want to keep track of me during my travels or you want to stalk me, you can follow me on The Twitter.]

So anyway, we are flying out of SFO really early in the morning. And let me just say this right now: If the flight is showing “Twilight: Eclipse” or “The Last Airbender” I’m going to take down the plane. Just sayin’.

OK, maybe that’s a little drastic. Seriously, though, I will call Homeland Security if someone tries to bring those bombs on the plane. Safety first, people.

Author: The Sonia Show

I'm a writer/mocker/goober/mother in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, podcast, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.

  1. Things to know: a) It’s very green here right now. Because it’s so humid. 2) Don’t eat ANYTHING. Except at the wedding, where the food will be good I bet. c) Watch out for all the large people who DO eat what we eat here! Have fun!

  2. Corn. You’ll see LOTS of corn.
If you’re out in the boonies and you see what looks like a bunch of very small towers for sale, those are hunting blinds.
You’ll also see LOTS of American cars, and very few classic cars (the salt eats them).
