Top 10 Things San Franciscans Are Thankful For

Yeah, so, I was outed as an Internet Nerd on SFGate today.

Of course, this doesn’t come as a shock to anyone who knows me and/or reads this blog. Big thanks to Beth Spotswood for the shout out. I am honored to be listed in the same sentence as those dorks.

I want to add a couple more things to the list of things San Franciscans are thankful for:

  • Organic, free-range, tucked-in-at night-and-read-to meat
  • The freedom to say we hate chain stores while waiting overnight in line at an Apple store
  • Parades
  • Happy hours
  • The right to judge the rest of the Bay Area as well as the rest of the country
  • The ability to make fun of hipsters in a hipster sort of way
  • Health care
  • Oh, and the San Francisco Giants winning the World Series

I'm a writer/mocker/goober/mother in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, podcast, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.

  1. What I love about the city and am thankful for is the variety of food. Thank you SF restaurant owners. I love having so many options at lunch.

Leave a comment, you guys. It's fun!
