But they were on sale …

Yeah, so, as regular readers of this blog know, I love my knee-high boots.

They are super comfy Merrell boots that I own in black and brown, and I wear them all the time. I think I’ve even worn them with a bathing suit.

But now that I’m knocked up, my ankles are starting to swell and it’s getting more and more difficult to squeeze into my precious boots. So, I went hunting for some new flats to wear. I haven’t found a pair that I just have to have yet, but I did find these:

Cute, right? Honestly, I thought I should stay away from any kind of heel, because with this pregnant belly my center of gravity is all off. I was a clumsy oaf before I let David impregnate me, which means heels are an accident waiting to happen. BUT, these shoes are Aerosoles, so they are comfortable. Plus, they were on sale, which is the perfect way to justify any purchase.

I was so excited about my new shoes that I took off my boots in the car and put these on to wear for the rest of the workday.

I'm a writer/mocker/goober/mother in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, podcast, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.

  1. I’m getting you a helmet.

  2. I need a helmet too, please.

I just bought some J-41 (Jumba) flats and I LOVE them. They were a little pricy but they’re the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned AND I can get away with wearing them to work.
