It’s the stuff dreams are made of

Yeah, so, yesterday when I got home from work there was a package for David on the doorstep. We get a lot of packages. I figured David bought another German boardgame or it was another beer of the month delivery, but mostly likely it was another box of diapers. Whatever.

I was feeding Yob in his highchair when David got home and saw the package: “Oh, it’s here!” In a matter of seconds he was hunched over the box and unwrapping layer after layer. I thought to myself, “He’s opening that thing like the Maltese Falcon is in there.”

Guess what was in the package?

I'm a writer/podcaster/mother/goober in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, go on adventures with my mighty, mighty good man David and my awesome autistic son, Calvin, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.

  1. OK, I gotta have one… where’d he get it?

  2. I ordered mine through They have this one, which is the 1941 film version, and another one that is less worn looking. I opted for the one that most closely resembles the one in the film.

  3. that’s my dream! That is awesome!
