The Sonia Show

Writer. Mocker. Beer drinker. Old movie watcher. Mother. Goober.

And then there was a photo shoot on a Jaguar because why not?

Yeah, so, I didn’t pass out on the lawn during the bachelorette party weekend in wine country. I feel like I let everyone down. Sorry, guys.

But, for those of you who are playing The Sonia Show home game, I made it to 5 p.m. Saturday before I called David and started crying because I missed the Spawn so much. I cried again when I got home because I’m all soft now. Don’t judge me!

Also, I didn’t sleep in at all. WTF? I woke up Saturday and Sunday morning by 8 a.m. The only other ladies who were up at that time were other moms. Go figure.

I don’t want to share all the details of the weekend, because of privacy issues, but I will share this little tidbit … We were all sitting around the pool, drinking, talking and listening to music. A song came on and several of the ladies started singing along. Finally I said, “Who is this?”

Good buddy Corso: “It’s the Beatles, Sonia.”

Me: “Haaaa! I’m such a stupid asshole.”

Oh, and at one point, I posed for a photo shoot on a Jaguar. True story.

[Update: Good buddy Corso says that The Beatles’ song was “Rocky Raccoon.” “It doesn’t sound like The Beatles that much. I don’t think you should beat yourself up at all for not knowing it.”]

Author: The Sonia Show

I'm a writer/mocker/goober/mother in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, podcast, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.
