You Shouldn’t Wear Sweatpants In a Nice Restaurant, Pigeon

Yeah, so, the Spawn loves to read.

He is always picking up a book and handing it to us. His favorites are the “Pigeon” books by Mo Willems.

They are great books. Calvin loves them, and we think they are pretty funny, too. I have written about them a few times here and here.

We have quite a few of the “Pigeon” books. We have “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus,” “The Pigeon Loves Things That Go,” “The Pigeon Has Feelings, Too,” “The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog,” “The Duckling Gets a Cookie,” “Don’t Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late,” and “The Pigeon Wants a Puppy.” Actually, we might have them all. Like I said, we are big fans.

So anyway, we’ve been spending a lot of time with the Pigeon, and I thought of a few other topics I would like to see the Pigeon tackle.

And, most importantly …

Author: The Sonia Show

I'm a writer/podcaster/mother/goober in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, go on adventures with my mighty, mighty good man David and my awesome autistic son, Calvin, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.

  1. I like it, I like it! I haven’t seen these books but I’m going to look next time we’re at the library. Maybe also: Kim Jong Un Is Actually Very Humble And Just Really Misunderstood, Pigeon.

  2. I’m pretty sure we’d buy those titles if they were available. Mo Willems is really funny! We like the Cat the Cat books.

  3. This makes me think of a list about Charlie Brown. Ask your sister, she’ll remember…
