This marriage will know the power of the Dark Side

Yeah, so, my friend The DH got married, and I forgot to share the most important – and awesome – photo from the wedding. I give myself shame for not including this in the earlier post.

The Force is strong with this bride.

I know, right?

AMAZING.

I should mention that The DH is not a “Star Wars” nerd; however, our friend Karen and myself are huge “Star Wars” dorks, and she took this photo just for us.

So how did this happen, you ask? The DH was having her wedding photos taken and nearby were a couple of people dressed up as stormtroppers, because – sure – why not? This is San Francisco. It’s not weird to see people dressed in costume for no reason. The DH asked if she could borrow their helmet for this photo, which is now my favorite photo ever.

It’s OK to be jealous. I’m insanely jealous of this photo, and I’m thinking about having it framed in my house and pretending it’s me.

I'm a writer/mocker/goober/mother in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, podcast, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.

  1. The photos are the only part of our wedding I would like another shot at. Everything else was spot on, and there was nothing actually wrong with the photos we got. We just didn’t do any stupid or insane ones, which doesn’t seem to fit our lives. Luckily we’re rebalancing the scales now, with the help of the three Weasels. But congrats to your friend and to you for making an awesome photo for her Wedding Day!

Leave a comment, you guys. It's fun!
