Pop Show Podcast #13: Oscars, X-Files and more

Yeah, so, we talk a lot about Sunday’s Academy Awards in this week’s Pop Show podcast, because we’re an entertainment podcast and that’s the law.

I’m cool with talking about it, because even when the Oscars are lame, I still love them. I can’t stay mad at you, Oscars.

12-I-wish-I-knew-how-to-quit-you.

Obviously, there was a lot to talk about with this year’s Academy Awards. We talk about #OscarsSoWhite, and  who doesn’t want to know what a bunch of white nerds think abuot diversity in film. Plus, we share our favorite moments from the Oscars. I found my favorite moment in gif form.

Jacob Tremblay from “Room” is the cutest thing ever. I hope he’s nominated for something every year. If you don’t love that gif, then I’m afraid we can’t be friends.

Other random things in this week’s podcast:

  • Peter hates the Oscars, but watched them anyway, because he knew we would talk about it. This was a little bit of revenge on my part. He made me sit through the Super Bowl. #puppybabymonkey #neverforget
  • Ryan didn’t even watch the Oscars, and went to Disneyland instead
  • Smith and Peter have a lot of thoughts and feelings about “The X-Files”

You can listen to the podcast riiight here, and you can find us on iTunes riiight here.

I'm a writer/mocker/goober/mother in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, podcast, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.
