Yeah, so, I got a new Macbook Air, and I’m so in love with it.

I haven’t had a Mac since the very early 2000s. In fact, I started this blog back in 2003 on an iMac that looked like this.

After that iMac went bye-bye, I had a series of Dell laptops that were fine. They got the job done, but they were kinda disposable. A few years ago, I bought a Dell laptop that was just such a lemon. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. It was a really frustrating piece of crap.

I finally decided to break down and get myself a nice computer. I made my final payment on my hospital bills from last year’s mastectomy. It turns out health care is kinda expensive. Did you guys know that? Anyway, I concluded that I earned a nice new computer, dammit! I deserve to be able to blog, podcast and make stupid memes with ease. Fuck that stupid Dell computer, so I dropped the big bucks on a Macbook Air.

Hello, lover.

I’m not sorry. It’s rad. I have an iPhone, and now everything is all connected and synced and — oh la la — I’m so fancy now.

So, what am I going to do with my old computer? Here’s a hint.

I'm a writer/podcaster/mother/goober in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, go on adventures with my mighty, mighty good man David and my awesome autistic son, Calvin, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.

  1. So funny. I just bought an energency HP pavilion because I had homework due for college. I really want the Mac book air, but instead I fell in love with this cheap Windows 10. I didn’t like it when my old computer upgraded, but I really like it on the new one. I’ll live my Mac book dreams vicariously through you. Ha -lisa

  2. what software do you use to make the podcast?

Leave a comment, you guys. It's fun!
