The Sonia Show

Writer. Mocker. Beer drinker. Old movie watcher. Mother. Goober.

My name is in the ‘Sharknado’ movies, so I’m totally famous

Yeah, so, one of my oldest friends is the director of the “Sharknado” movies.

Anthony thought it would be funny to name a character after me in last year’s “Sharknado 3.” That character was played by Ann Coulter.

Seriously. She’s the worst.

This year, he named another character after me. The character is the mayor of Chicago played by – wait for it – Stacey Dash.

My “friend” is trolling me so hard. I forgive him, though, because I think he’s kinda awesome. And yeah, it’s pretty funny to name characters played by conservative nut jobs after your most liberal friend. Also, because one of his movies gifted the world with this amazing gif.

I'm a writer/podcaster/mother/goober in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, go on adventures with my mighty, mighty good man David and my awesome autistic son, Calvin, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.
