Dorking Out Episode 16: Scary Movie Talk with F This Movie’s Patrick Bromley

Yeah, so, in this week’s episode of “Dorking Out” I got to talk about scary movies with my podcasting hero, Patrick Bromley from F This Movie.

I have written about F This Movie countless times. It’s my favorite podcast, and it’s meant a lot to me over the years. I listened to it a lot during my breast cancer recovery and chemotherapy recover. I was downright giddy that Patrick agree to come on the show. And I can only hope that I didn’t embarrass myself. He is a huge fan of horror movies and speaks about them so passionately and eloquently, while I sound like a dork, repeatedly using the words “scary” and “awesome.”

Speaking of awesome, it’s so awesome to meet someone whose work you admire and they turn out to be as funny, smart and nice as you imagined. Thank you, Patrick, for coming on our dorky little show.

Patrick, Smith and I share our three favorite scary movies. Plus, Smith and I review Netflix’s new Marvel series, “Luke Cage,” and the new thriller “The Girl On The Train.”

I'm a writer/mocker/goober/mother in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, podcast, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.
