Dorking Out Episode 17: Non-Scary Movies That Scare Us

Yeah, so, in this week’s episode of “Dorking Out” Smith and I talk about movies that scare us that are not technically scary movies. It’s a really fun discussion, and I’d love to hear from you guys. What non-scary movies scare you? One of my picks is “Field Of Dreams.” You’ll have to listen to find out why.

We also review the new Christopher Guest mockumentary “Mascots,” which premiered on Netflix last week. Also, Smith heard a really pretentious jazz review on NPR, which we use as a jumping off point to talk about what we want from reviews and reviewers. Smith really goes off on this review. It’s rad.

One more thing, last Friday we dropped a special bulletin to talk about the final “Star Wars: Rogue One” trailer. My mighty, mighty good man David joins us.

You can listen to us here, or you can find us on iTunes, Stitcher and YouTube. If you listen to the show, I’d love to hear what you think. You can comment here, or on our website or Facebook page.

I'm a writer/podcaster/mother/goober in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, watch old movies, feed my unhealthy obsession with pop culture, kick breast cancer's ass, go on adventures with my mighty, mighty good man David and my awesome autistic son, Calvin, wear orange and root for the San Francisco Giants, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.

Leave a comment, you guys. It's fun!
