Dorking Out Episode 18: The Walking Dead, Movie Trailers and The Books We Should Be Writing

Yeah, so, in this week’s episode of “Dorking Out” we talk about the seventh season premiere of “The Walking Dead.” Of course, Smith and I don’t watch that show anymore, so we brought in Peter Brown, associate editor of Assignment X, to talk about it.

I broke up with “The Walking Dead” a few seasons ago. You might remember that I entertained the idea of ending it back in 2013, but it took me another season to actually pull the trigger. The show is too gross and too cruel to its characters. It’s the same thing every season, and there is no happy ending for the characters on this show. We’re just watching them suffer. And there’s so much great TV out there that I can’t justify spending time watching a TV that makes me depressed and nauseated.

Here's a photo that perfectly sums up what Smith and I think of "The Walking Dead."

So anyway, in our second segment, Smith and I chat the books we should be writing in our new segment, “I Should Be Working On It Right Now.” And yeah, I should be working on my book right now.

In our last segment, Peter returns for a round table discussion about some new trailers that dropped, including “The Arrival,” “Guardians Of The Galaxy 2” and “Logan.” I wanted to talk about the new “Power Rangers” trailer, but they told me to fuck off.
