Dorking Out Episode 28: 2017 Preview And More Thoughts About ‘La La Land’

Yeah, so, in this week’s episode of Dorking Out we share the movies, TV shows, books and podcasts we’re most anticipating in 2017, including “Wonder Woman,” “Twin Peaks,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” “Serial Season 3,” “American Crime Story Season 2,” “Star Trek: Discovery” “Star Wars: Episode VIII” and a ton more.

We also talk a little bit more about “La La Land,” which is my favorite movie of 2017. You should see it. It’s so wonderful. My mighty, mighty good man David and I have been talking about the movie and humming the songs for a few weeks now. It’s beautiful to look at. The singing and dancing are terrific. And it’s a very sweet love story. It’s about the kind of relationships you have in your 20s; the kind of relationships that help you figure out who you are and what you want. I can’t stop thinking about this movie, and not just because I want all the dresses that Emma Stone wears in it.

So anyway, you can listen to us here, or you can find us on iTunes, Stitcher and YouTube. If you listen to the show, I’d love to hear what you think. You can comment here, or on our website or Facebook page.

I'm a writer/podcaster/mother/goober in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, watch old movies, go to baseball games, kick breast cancer's ass, explore with my mighty, mighty good man David and my awesome autistic son, Calvin, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.
