Yeah, so, did you watch the Golden Globes on Sunday night? I did, and then I talked about it with Smith on “Dorking Out.” You should listen.
We share our favorite and least favorite moments of the show. One guess what my favorite part was? If you guessed Jimmy Fallon rapping Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne to Cypress Hill’s “Insane in the Membrane” … well, you’d be close. It was Meryl Streep’s speech, of course.
Instead of using her time to talk about her body of work while accepting a lifetime achievement award she used it to shame our Predator-Elect for mocking a disabled reporter, his bullying tactics and encourage everyone to practice empathy. It was awesome, and this was me while watching it:
Meryl Streep is a class act and a goddamn hero. Of course, Rapey Dorito was all upset about it and spent his morning tweeting about it, because he’s going to be president in a few days, and he’s totally not busy.
Oh, I also have thoughts about the awards that were handed out, so you should listen to the podcast. You can listen to us here, or you can find us on iTunes, Stitcher and YouTube. If you listen to the show, I’d love to hear what you think. You can comment here, or on our website or Facebook page.
