Meet Max

Yeah, so, meet Max.

We weren’t really planning on adopting another dog. But, come on. That face.

We were having lunch at Cato’s in Oakland, and across the street there was an adoption event.

“Let’s look at the dogs,” I said. So naive.

Next thing I know, this happened:

Calvin named him Max after the dog in “The Grinch.”

He’s 11 weeks old, and he’s from Puerto Rico. Here’s the story about him and his family on the Rocket Dog Rescue site.

He’s probably going to get to 45-55 pounds. That’s the biggest dog we’ve ever had. Toby and Max are getting long, but Toby keeps putting him in his place. Toby is very possessive of his food, his blanket and his Sonia.

Our cat Kubo is curious and brave. They’re not friends yet, but I think it will happen.

Max is smart and eager to please. He’s a real sweetheart.

Welcome to The MansTracy family, Max.

Author: The Sonia Show

I'm a writer/podcaster/mother/goober in San Francisco who likes to drink beer, shop, laugh and make other people laugh, watch old movies, go to baseball games, kick breast cancer's ass, explore with my mighty, mighty good man David and my awesome autistic son, Calvin, participate in general jackass-ery, talk about TV, eavesdrop on strangers' conversations, make nerdy “Star Wars” and “Simpsons” references, and post personal things about myself on the web for all to read, which makes me some sort of literary exhibitionist.

Leave a comment, you guys. It's fun!
