Separated at birth: SF Bulls and Kinder’s Meat logos

Yeah, so, a few weeks ago, we went to the dog show at the Cow Palace, because petting cute dogs is a hobby of mine.

While we were there, I noticed all these bull logos all over the place. At first I thought, “Why are they selling barbecue sauce at the dog show?” Then I realized it was the SF Bulls logo.

I posted on Facebook that the SF Bulls logo was a serious fail and looks just like a barbecue sauce logo. Then I moved on to bitching about really important things like “The Walking Dead” or bragging about what a great parallel parker I am.

A few days later, I posted this photo of The Boy wearing a Kinder’s Meat & Deli hat.

Dan Kinder, the owner of Kinder’s, is one of my dad’s best friends. Kinder’s Meat & Deli is an awesome business with a high-quality product, and this is coming from the former vegetarian. My parents are always buying their meat from Kinder, and I buy their barbecue sauce all the time, especially the mustard sauce (drool drool). What I’m saying is, I’ve been around their logo for so long that I didn’t even notice the similarity between the Kinder logo and the SF Bulls logo until office buddy Jennifer pointed it out on Facebook.

It’s true. Judge for yourself.

It’s pretty similar, right?

I’m not suggesting that the SF Bulls stole Kinder’s logo. I’m just saying, they look really similar, which is why when I look at the SF Bulls logo I get hungry.

  1. Add to that the University of Texas longhorn logo and you have a menage a trois of beefy goodness. http://okosr.com/wp-content/uploads/1015-texas-longhorns-logo.jpg

  2. I guess when you have to use a bull in your logo your options are limited?
